Apple Watch Speaker Cleaner

Apple Watch already has Water Lock built in. This page explains it, with a gentle helper sound from your phone.

Turn the volume to maximum and turn off silent mode — the cleaning sound needs full power.

⚠️ Safety first: never charge a wet phone, and don't wear headphones while cleaning — the tones are strong. Read the full safety guide.

Need a deeper clean?

How It Works

Four simple steps. The whole clean takes about a minute.

1

SET VOLUME TO MAX

Turn your media volume to 100% and turn off silent mode. The cleaning sound needs full power to shake the speaker properly.

2

SOUND + VIBRATE

This page is already set for Apple Watch. Leave Sound and Vibrate on together for the strongest clean — or use just one of them.

3

PRESS START — SPEAKER DOWN

Hold the device with the speaker facing down on a soft, dry towel. Gravity helps the water and dust fall out while the sound plays.

4

LISTEN & REPEAT IF NEEDED

Play some music and listen. Still muffled? Run the tool once or twice more — most speakers become clear within 1 to 3 cycles.

About Apple Watch Speakers

Apple Watch is the one device here that already has this tool inside it: Water Lock. After a swim or shower, turn Water Lock on, then turn the Digital Crown — the watch plays a sound that pushes water out of its speaker. The gentle sound on this page can help from your iPhone too.

Where the speaker is: The watch speaker sits on the left side of the case. Water Lock uses that speaker to push water out — exactly like this tool, built in by Apple.

Models covered: Works on: Apple Watch Series 2 and later, including SE and Ultra.
Honest note: this tool cleans water and dust from the speaker opening, and it fixes most muffled or low sound. It cannot repair a broken speaker or water damage inside the phone — for that, please visit a repair shop. Never charge a wet phone.

Questions

Short answers, no confusing words.

Is this tool free?

Yes — completely free. No app to install, no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded anywhere. The sound is made inside your browser.

Will it damage my speaker?

No. The tones are inside the range phone speakers are built for, and the volume rises slowly. If any sound ever feels too harsh, press STOP — it stops at once.

How many times should I run it?

Run it once, then test with music. For water, 2–3 cycles are normal. Please do not run more than 3 cycles back-to-back — let the speaker rest a few minutes.
