How to Clean Your Phone Speaker by Hand (The Safe Way)
Sometimes dust is packed too hard for sound alone. A careful hand clean helps — if you use soft tools and a light hand. The speaker membrane sits just under the grille and tears easily, so the rules below matter.
Fix it now — the free tool takes about a minute.

- Power the phone off. Hold it with the speaker facing DOWN — everything you loosen should fall out, not in.
- Use a soft, dry toothbrush (or a clean makeup brush). Brush the grille lightly, sideways, never pressing in.
- For packed lint at the edges, a wooden toothpick used flat and gently can lift it — wooden, flat, gentle. The moment you need force, stop.
- Finish with the Dust Clean tool: the sweep shakes out everything the brush loosened.
Never use these
Metal pins, needles and SIM ejector tools — they puncture the membrane and the water-resistance mesh. Compressed air at close range can do the same damage. Water, alcohol sprays and vacuum cleaners are all bad ideas on an open grille.
